There is a VERY good chance that we will be using Simple Radio Standalone for this event! SRS is a program that does for DCS what IVC does for BMS - it interfaces with DCS so that our in-game radios allow us to talk to one another. Download it here. Install it, making sure that it points to the correct DCS\Saved Games folder.
When opening SRS, you do not need to input ANY server information. Our dedicated server will automatically connect you to it when you connect in DCS. Set up controls Radio 1 and Radio 2 to buttons you want to use for push-to-talk functionality.
In Settings, ensure the following:
-Radio Switch works as Push To Talk (PTT): ON
-Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT: ON
In General, press the "toggle radio overlay" button to enable it. This overlay will show you the channels it's mirroring in-game, and your current state in a channel (red: disconnected/unpowered; orange: connected, not talking; green: connected, talking). You do not need this overlay open for SRS to work.
In-game, you can now use the "Radio 1" button to talk on COM1, and "Radio 2" button to talk on COM2.
