There will be some new procedures for future weekly events.
New RSVP Method
We are moving away from pre-slotting in calendar rsvp and switching to simple calendar rsvp without locking into any specific slots. The purpose of this is to eliminate slot sniping immediately after the event frag is completed. This will also open up discussion in the event forum for these slots.
On event day(Saturday 1800z) we will meet up in the BMS Channel and follow a checklist for slotting.
1. All UOAF Roster members will take a slot, move into Briefing/Flight Room.
2. All UO Regulars will take a slot, move into Briefing/Flight Room.
3. All UO Donors will take a slot, move into Briefing/Flight Room.
4. All Old(Flown with us before) Guest will take a slot, move into Briefing/Flight Room.
5. All New(Have not flown with us before) Guest will take a slot, move into Briefing/Flight Room.
This system will first and foremost promote joining our Roster. In the next few weeks we will lay out a structured path players can take to join our Roster. In the past it required 3 things from members. First was a great competency of the flight sim. Second was a great leadership quality and ability to take flight leader slots. Third was a great behavior and a good fit for the community.
This system also promotes joining United Operations as a Regular and helping support our server and website by donating. By Donating you get earlier access to choosing a slot of your choice at Events.
All slotting will be done on event day and this should be quick and easy. If you really want a specific slot make a reply on the event forum post requesting the slot. If someone else would like that slot, both of you can come to a deal.
New Players on Event Day
New Players joining us for the first time on Saturday events will be required to have flown on a weekday with a player that has attended our events in the past. Take this time to learn our slotting, IVC and Connection methods. Event day is no time to learn this as many others are waiting to fly.
