Vandal you seem pretty dead-set on radically changing how this community operates after three weeks of flying with us. None of your suggestions are without merit, but I might posit that actually giving us, and the way we've done things here for a number of years, a fair chance before suggesting improvements might be beneficial to your argument.
For example, UOAF's server is a VM being run on the server that is paid for largely by members of the ArmA community. There's no "waste of resources", we're piggybacking on a server that was never intended for BMS in the first place.
Please don't get me wrong -- your opinions about what this place could and should be, are important. But maybe finding out what this place is, first, is just as important.
We are piggybacking on the ArmA server. Less than a year ago we didn't have a server. We are a small subset of a larger community. A dedicated server is a resource and time hog. The money contributed (of which I financially contribute) is towards an ArmA server. They are lucky to let us piggyback on it once a week for our own little oddity. You're calling for something much much more drastic which is not worth the effort because of our size. I also second the opinion of why don't you see how it works here for a couple months before calling for a massive shift in efforts of UOAF.
