Ban - Tirak

The "progressive warning in question" was single conversation between DarkFib3r, Gusy and myself, consisting of a somewhat confusion conversation as to what behavior was accepted. it was unclear what was being indicated, as attempts at being overly diplomatic resulted in what appeared to be conflicting instructions. Being told to both modify my behavior, but also that they liked the sort of person that i was. Unfortunatly, it was not expressed the level of seriousness that was being taken due to this diplomatic approach. That combined with a very different culture from previous clans I was used to, in which very direct language was commonly used, resulted in no meaningful information being passed as a warning. Only later, after my permaban was it clarified what sort of behavior was expected, and the serious nature of the previous warning.
The incident in question that resulted in my ban was a confrontation between myself and Alwandy, due to a disagreement over the accuracy of in game flight models. While the discussion was heated, at no time did I insult or deliberately attack Alwandy, though I did argue with dogged determination. I fully admit, that I went overboard, and Alwandy is certainly due an apology, which I offered to give but was instructed not to due to the ban.
The issues I have had are a result of a culture clash, one that thanks to extensive discussions with DarkFib3r over the past month, I have overcome, and know fully what sort of attitude is expected of me. All that was ever required was clairification, and I am greatful for the time Dark spent with me to help with that clarification. I for the most part, have been a force for good, helping to educate new players, writting up tactics guides for the UOAF, and helping to introduce new pilots to our group and to the games that we play. I have misstepped in the past, but feel that due to the efforts of my new friends in the UOAF, I have overcome the issues which stood in the way of me being a purely positive influence on the community.
I appeal that my permaban status be reduced, as it is excessive, and that the time already served, one month, be considered sufficient for the corrective period of a ban. I fully intend to apologize to those I may have harmed during my transition period, and look forward to the opportunity to do so, to help repair the relationships that have been strained over this trying period, and continue to make new friends in this wonderful community.

It has now been approximately one week since the posting of my Ban Appeal and my response and I have received no contact from Gusy. Over the past five weeks, I have, as I alluded to earlier, had extensive conversations with DarkFib3r concerning right behavior and the UOAF way of doing things. A few weeks ago, I felt we had made a real breakthrough and asked him straight forwardly, if he would support my return to the UOAF, to which he responded in the affirmative. I also asked him at a later date, prior to moving forward with this ban appeal, who was involved in seeing it stay in place. He indicated to me that it was only himself and Gusy.
If that is the case, I must express my opposition to the phrase "While it is was clear that Tirak has a strong desire to come back, there is a low level of confidence from UOAF leadership that his behavior will change." used in Gusy's initial post, given DarkFib3r's conversations with me.
Because of this, I have attempted, on more than one occasion, to talk to Gusy, to schedule a meeting in which we could talk on Teamspeak about ways I could alleviate his concerns about my behavior. Those attempts have either met with terse responses of not being available, or no response at all. I wish to discuss over voice chat of some sort, to help remove any confusion in tone that may come across through text, however my attempts have been rebuffed, much to my confusion. I took the liberty of speaking with several other UOAF members to see if there was a strong sentiment to see my continued banning, and felt bolstered by assurances that my friends would like to see my return as well.
All I'm asking for is an opportunity to prove myself. I cannot demonstrate good works to help assure Gusy, if he will not give me the opportunity to do so. Given the ambiguity of the single warning I received for my behavior prior to the ban, I ask that I be given that opportunity.

I personally would ask that you not copy and paste the body of your prior replies in this thread, as it can break the formatting of the page and replies.
