As some may have noticed have i been going trough our missions. One of the things i noticed was that some of you are using the ACRE modules. I thought we once had a PSA about not using them. (can't find it now :/ ) so i decided to test the module.
I tested it with the following setup.
Mission with 12 slots (3 on each of the 4 sides) using olsen framework with 0 modules active. Each unit was given a 343 and a 148 trough the units init field.
Then i added the modules and set them to different settings.
I then got help from Adrian and Emerald and we found out the following.
- Channels per Side seems to be working even if a player jips.
- Babel works until someone jips. then bable is broken for that user.
- We also noted that all users was given a extra radio when someone jiped into the mission. (i would like to retest this, where i use olsens gearscript to make sure its not the way i added radios trough the init field of the unit.)
- Name Channels module seems to be broken. it worked if theres only users on WEST. It did threw errors
We also tested the Difficulty Settings module, but was not able to get it to work. This might be because its values are set by the server. (we did test this when TS was having issues, so that could also be why we were having issues. I will retest unless its set by the server.
So the verdict: Dont use the modules.
There is plenty of ways to do what the modules can do. I would suggest using the modules thats part of Olsens framework.
