I am thinking of running an unofficial lecture/class on how to receive, create, and give orders in a platoon context.
I want to focus on the operations order at the platoon level so attendees will be able to take away from this lecture an easily applied set of knowledge. If further interest is shown in this style of teaching, I will consider running more lectures on the other important aspects of giving orders and battle procedure in general.
I expect this to take 2-3 hours, it will include a lecture on the content of a platoon operations order and I will run through an example set of orders, this will be approx. 1 hour. Then the candidates will work on their own set of orders for the next 30 minutes able to have any questions answered. Ideally, we will run through each candidate's operations order, though this will be time-limited depending on how much interest there is. If there are a lot of people, one or two will go and we will AAR their orders for the majority to learn from. Afterwards, I can be reached to do a 1 on 1 for each candidate to go through their orders.
I am thinking of running this 1900Z 07 MAR 15.
Please post below if you are interested and what time 07 MAR would be best for you.
